Abdul Razzaq al-Ghoraybi had a degree in Business Administration, and worked as a court administrator in the city of Idleb. His wife was studying at the Faculty of Human Medicine to become a doctor. Abdul was passionate about electronics, and liked to work on repairing and modifying devices.
His brother said that Abdul longed for the day the Assad regime would fall and he would be able to return to his village, rebuild his home which had been destroyed in the war, and live peacefully with his small family. He also dreamt of seeing his wife become a doctor.
On 5 December, there was intense fighting in Hama between the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham armed group and Assad regime forces. Abdul was with friends in the west of the city when they were ambushed by Assad regime soldiers. Abdul was shot by a 5.5 calibre gun, and died of blood loss. Hayat Tahrir al-Sham won control of Hama the same day, and the Assad regime was overthrown three days later.
Abdul leaves behind his wife and young son, Amir.
